Ernest J Hughes Sr. known by most as Teddy, 75 years old, born in New Jersey on January 27, 1937. He went home to be with the Lord on March 17, 2012.
A long time Colorado resident who lived in New York, New Jersey, and Hawaii.
Teddy is accompanying his father Edward, mother Edwina, brother Carl, and two sisters, Barbara and Dorothy; he precedes his loving sister Paula. He leaves behind three children: Yvonne, Vincent, and Ernest (Marquitta). He has 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Teddy served in the Marine Corp during World War II. After his service to his country, he managed his parents manufacturing business, drove trucks cross-country, and was a small business owner.
Teddy loved life; enjoyed laughing and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed model trains and riding his motorcycle.
He loved to work with his hands, a true “Mr. Fix It”, from building electronics from a circuit board up, to rebuilding automobile engines. His true love was building and flying radio controlled airplanes and helicopters.
Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery. His memorial will read, “Have Faith, Trust in God.”
