Frank was born in Mitchell, South Dakota to Leo and Theresa Kessler on March 17, 1948.

He grew up as the oldest of 13 children. He proudly served in the Navy as an electric technician and as a Korean linguist. He retired after 20 years of service. He was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, Presidential Unit Citation, Joint Service Achievement Medal, to name a few. On May 31, 1983 he married Ok Pun Kim at Osan AB, South Korea. He also served in the NSA as an intelligence analyst and retired after 23 years of service.

Frank is preceded in death by his father and mother as well as brothers, John and Chuck Kessler.

Frank is survived by his wife, Ok Pun Kessler, daughter Tanya (Rudy) Chavez, and siblings Ray (Carol) Kessler, Dee (Karl) Osberg, Richard (Danette) Kessler, Helen (Robert) Gales, Kurt Kessler, Clifford (Lisa) Kessler, Earl (Marcie) Kessler, Julie (Randy) Shumaker, Susan (Darin) Mather, and Michael (Melissa) Kessler.

Frank will be missed by all that knew him.
