Harry K. Kuga passed away peacefully at the age of 95 in his home on January 7, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents Kenzo and Tsui Kuga, his sister Rose Kuga, his brother George Kuga, and his loving wife of 50 years, Bianca Kuga. He is survived by his sister Chizu Nakayama, 2 brothers Jim Kuga and Patrick Kuga. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Harry K. Kuga was part of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, to this day is the most decorated unit in our military history, he served in the ETO as a 30 and 50 cal. gunner. Harry’s most vivid memory was being part of a platoon where he was the only sole survivor. Harry received a purple heart and a bronze medal of honor for his bravery and dedication.

Harry was truly “One in a Million.” At the age of 95, he still had a great sense of humor and would make everyone giggle with him. He loved to tell stories, especially the time he spent in Milan, where he met his wife Bianca. He was loved by his family and close friends, and would make a new friend anywhere he went. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and appreciated every moment he had with them.

Harry will be cremated. His and his wife’s ashes will be spread over the mountains and lakes as he requested due to their love of the mountains and their love for fishing
