Remember Only My Best

When I come to the end of my journey
and I travel my last weary mile,
just forget if you can, that I ever frowned
and remember only the smile.
Forget unkind words I have spoken;
remember some good I have done.
Forget that I ever had heartache
and remember I’ve had loads of fun.
Forget that I have stumbled and blundered
and sometimes fell by the way.
Remember I have fought some hard battles
and won, ere the close of the day.
Then forget to grieve for my going,
I would not have you sad for a day,
but in summer just gather some flowers
and remember the place where I lay,
and come in the evening
when the sun points the sky in the west,
stand for a moment beside me
and remember only my best.

To the family of Jimmy, my deepest condolences to you all. I knew Jimmy in high school and he always had a grin and was a happy person. He is now up there with my sis, Judy. May you always have the good memories of him to think about. He is now with a lot of friends.

We send our heartfelt sympathy in the loss of our cousin Jimmy. We (Linda & Bev) are Anna Sorrentino’s (Miskol) daughters. Since we just lost our mom about 4 months ago, we know what you are going through. Keep Jimmy’s memories close to your heart. God be with you all!

To Jimmy’s family, I met Jimmy 2 years before we started high school and was very good friends all these years. I live in Portland, OR and came back to Denver May 14th and on the 16th Gil, Iris, Rosalie and I took lunch down and visited with him for about 3 to 4 hours. He was so happy that we came down and we all laughed and talked a lot. He was frail and I knew it would be the last time I saw him and I am sooo thankful I got to see him. We all loved Jimmy very much and he will be missed a lot. Doris a friend always.

Rest in peace Jimmy. I remember you from Sheridan Union High School, even though I went to Englewood, we played some good baseball games together as well as remembering you playing football too. You were one of the best Jim. My condolences to the family. Fred Lehrer
