Joan spent the past several years in declining health. Anyone who came in contact with her loved her dearly. She brought lots of smiles to any room she entered. She was one of a kind and she loved to “Go to the hill”. We always loved listening to her stories from the past, yes sometimes it was one hundred times but she was fun to listen to. Did we mention her love for clothes an shoes? Let’s not forget the spanking room!!. Lol.. We will never forget how she liked to help others, during the blizzard of 1982 she jumped in her Ford Bronco an helped get the Nurses an Tech’s to the hospital. She risked her own life for others.
Joan loved her family, friends an the numerous nurses an techs who took great care of her throughout her illness. She was a fighter though. Joan loved fishing, camping, gambling(she loved slot machines)along with boating an water sports. She loved the water. After all she grew up on Lake Flower.. How about “bake a pie, eat a pie”. It didn’t take much to make Mom happy! She had a love an understanding for all those around her. He favorite pastime was spending time with her family whether it was here or New York and she loved her Denver Broncos!
