Bob lived in Denver, Colorado. He was born at home in Starkville, Mississippi. He grew up in Mississippi and graduated from high school in Meridian. He served in the US Navy, and then attended the Memphis Academy of Arts. His daughter Cindie was born in 1962. When he moved to Denver he earned his B.F.A. degree from C.U. Denver. He went on to complete his Masters degree in Art Education at C.S.U.. He met Charline in 1980, they were married in 1983 and he became Robert’s stepfather. He worked for Denver Public Schools as an Art teacher and a Student Advisor until he retired in 2005. Bob was a competitive fencer and he taught fencing at Lake Middle School. He enjoyed playing golf and poker with family and friends. He loved books and was an avid reader. Bob liked listening to all kinds of music but his favorite was the Blues.
Bob is survived by his wife, daughter and son-in-law (Stan), stepson and daughter-in-law (Andrea). He has three grandchildren, Sara, Mitchell and Theodore.
In Bob’s memory… play a round of golf, read a good book or have a shot of Jack Daniel’s.
