Rodney Leo Kloberdans 86, of Denver passed on September 24, 2014 after a long illness. Born in Sterling, Colorado in 1928 to Andrew and Kathryn Kloberdans, he is survived by his four children, Gary Kloberdans of Washington; David Kloberdans of Maine; Kathleen Daniels of Colorado; and Andrea Younglove of Wyoming, and two brothers, James Kloberdans of Nevada and Paul Kloberdans of Colorado, and 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy; retired from the Denver Post in the Circulation Department; was past president of the Denver Newspaper Guild; a member in good standing and Past Exalted Ruler (85-86) of the Westminster Elks Lodge #2227. His accomplishments were many and varied and he will be missed by all that knew him.

A memorial service will be held on September 30, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Westminster Elks Lodge, 3850 Elk Drive in Westminster, Colorado. A reception will follow at the lodge. Internment will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the National Cancer Society!

    Rod, I will always remember you and Peoria Conoco in Aurora, Co. My dad worked for you in the 1950’s and you gave me my first motorcycle ride 60 years ago. RIP Mr. Kloberdans and my condolences to your family.

    Gary Kloberdans is my Dad and Rod Kloberdans was my grandfather and I love him and will miss him very much .. I only wish I could be present to speak on my Dads behalf as we can not be there to express our love in person for such a wonderful man,who was a good father and grandfather..
